This link shows the current proposals for the Winter 2025/26 leagues when we will be at Long Sutton. We are looking to maintain the current structure with a couple of amendments due to only having four rinks and some feedback already received from members:

  • Each league will only be able to take a maximum of 9 teams (one team will get a ‘bye’ each week).
  • Afternoon leagues will run from 1.00 to 3.00 to allow for travel in daylight.
  • Fives and Double Trips will be played over two 1 hour 30 minutes sessions.

We will be holding information sessions in the Bowls Lounge on Friday 21st March at 12.30 and 6.00 and Saturday 22nd March at 10.00. Please come along with any questions, comments or suggestions about the leagues or any aspect of the club’s operation whilst we are at Long Sutton. None of these proposals are yet set in stone.

We would ask existing Winter team captains to canvass their team members to see if your teams will still play at Long Sutton. We will ask for your confirmation after the information sessions to allow for any changes to the leagues that may be made as a result of further feedback.

There is also a need for stewards to manage the club during opening hours. We are unable to provide sufficient stewards just from the committee, so if any member is interested in this role please let any committee member know or send an email to [email protected]. A description of the role is being prepared.

If you are unable to make these sessions please feel free to speak to any committee member or drop an email to [email protected] with your comments.

A lot of work has already gone into securing a home for our club during the Castle redevelopment and there is still a lot to do. Our club will only continue to be successful with the backing and support of it’s members.

Thank You
