Winter Leagues 2022/23 Rule Clarification

The re-introduction of leagues with promotion and relegation for the Winter 2022/23 season has raised some questions with respect to League Rule 2c which states:
‘Players shall be permitted to register for only one team in any one league.’

For the coming Winter season this rule applies to the Monday league and the Wednesday league. Under Rule 2c a player may register in one Monday team and one Wednesday team.

Promotion and relegation means that a team will merely move from playing in the morning to the afternoon and vice versa. Teams will not have to play on a different day which has caused Captains many problems in previous years and has resulted in some teams having to fold.

Hopefully this now clarifies the position.
